FORMALITIES

A. VISA

Non-USA Citizens will need a valid passport to enter the USA.

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP)

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables citizens of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for 90 days or less without obtaining a visa if they have registered on-line through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

Citizens of the following countries must carry a qualifying machine readable passport or a biometric passport and register with ESTA to participate in the Visa Waiver Program. Please visit the U.S. embassy website in your country of citizenship for country-specific passport requirements.

Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Korea, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

A.1 Obtaining a personalized shoot invitation to include with your VISA APPLICATION:

Please contact Mrs Nicki Bowers at the US federation NSCA (nbowers@nssa-nsca.com) so that she sends you a nominative invitation for the visa purpose.

B. GUN IMPORT PERMIT

Non-USA Resident competitors bringing shotguns into the USA will need the following:

B.1  Apply for their temporary firearm importation permit, ATF form 6NIA from the ATF.

The application must be prepared in duplicate. The signature required by question 17 must be in ink on both copies. Other entries must be printed in ink or typewritten. All required items on the form must be completed or your application will not be approved. The application should be submitted to (by post or by fax):

If you are able to receive faxed documents, we encourage you to provide your fax number (including your country code) in question 4. As they often experience delays with international mail, if they are able to fax you their response it will reduce the possibility of delay.

IMPORTANT: It can take up to 6 weeks to process this form, please submit at the earliest possible date!

B.2 print your entry confirmation to the world championship, to be included with your permit application.

C. Gun transportation

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires a hard-sided container, locked as one that completely secures the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be pulled open with little effort cannot be brought aboard the aircraft.
