FORMALITIES

1. Visa Application

Athlete requiring an individual invitation letter from of the Skeet & Trap Shooting Association of Thailand for visa can contact the organizer by email : fitascthailand@gmail.com.

The following information is required:
- Full name (First name and Last name)
- Nationality
- Passport number + passport copy
- Date of birth

The Skeet & Trap Shooting Association of Thailand (STAT) has no influence on the embassies. The STAT can provide invitation before the period of the 4th Asian Championship Sporting and 5th Asian Championship – Compak Sporting in Thailand or extend to later than that depend on your travel date of arrival and departure to Thailand.

2. Gun import permit

All participants have to be in possession of the approved temporary gun importation permit, certified by the Thai authorities.

IMPORTANT: The official airport for customs clearance of firearms in Thailand is Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) only.

2.1. Download the gun form.

2.2. Please fully and clearly fill in the gun form.

2.2. Send it before 15th December 2025 by email fitascthailand@gmail.com, with the copy of your passport.

The Organizing Committee will send you by email the temporary gun import permit, once approved.
Please have it printed before you leave for Thailand.

2.3. The procedure of firearms clearance in Thailand is:

Collect your luggage and your gun from the luggage belt (in case your gun is not come along with your luggage, please check at the oversize luggage section - Channel Z).

Go to the Red Channel (Custom clearance), present copy of your temporary gun import permit to the Police custom. They will ask for checking gun serial number to compare correct number with their record.

When firearm(s) clearance process at the customs is done, please go to the exit. Our staff will meet you in the arrival hall (holding a label of competition logos). Your gun(s) has to be brought and kept in armory at the shooting range by our staff.

In case shooters who also participated in the 5th Asian Championship Sporting and in the 6th Asian Championship Compak Sporting Photharam, please inform the organizing committee at the Photharam range that you will continue participate GP Compak Chiang Mai. The Organizing Committee will arrange firearms transportation to Chiang Mai by the end of day of competition in Photharam.

 

3. Departure procedures:

The Organizing Committee has arranged transport for all firearms deliver to Chiang Mai, and from Chiang Mai GP to BKK airport by car with extra cost of firearms' delivery by local government police which is THB500.00 per gun.

All firearms will leave Chiang Mai shooting range in the morning of 19th January 2026. It might takes 8-9 hours drive to Bangkok and arrive to Bangkok in the evening of 22^nd January 2026. The Organizing Committee suggest the shooters to book your departure flight from BKK airport on the 23^rd January 2026 onward.

Important
Gun and ammunition need to be store in the armory at the shooting range only. All guns have to be transported by organizing staff in locked bags or cases. Bringing guns to hotels is prohibited, the use of the armory at the shooting range is mandatory.
